Soft heart for a touching story

Many of you probably dont know this about me, but I have a very soft heart for stories that show character, love and compassions.   The following story about a softball game in played in Oregon, between Western Oregon and Central Washington, touched my soft heart the momement I heard it.  This morning I finally saw the video and had to share it.   Sara Tucholsky is shown love and compassion that should touch everybodys heart.  Mallory Holtman, Liz Wallace and the Central Washington team sets us all a great example to follow.

  1. That is a very touching story. Having good character is a very good thing to have and those two girls sure had it. Many times those of us who play in sports games often think of the opposing team as enemies, but in this situation for this team it was an oppertunity to help an opposing team member achieve her goal. I just want to challenge you that if a situation along this line ever crosses your path to take a step, be an example and show good character. It may not be something that you personally like or want to do but just by doing it will show how much character and love for others really you have.

  2. The capitalist society of America teaches us to fend for ourselves. A dog eat dog world. Sports teams will do most anything to win a game. This act took such bravado that they risked humiliation and a drop in the social scale. You never see such actions covered by news media. They just want the most gruesome, dramatic, explicit cover stories because that is what, the animal we have become, want. I’m just impressed that a sports channel would even bother with showing this.
